SOMATICS | YOGA
online & in person classes & support
A bit about me - I've been practicing yoga since the 1990s. In the mid 2000s I received a master's degree in Vedic Science, which is the experiential and philosophical foundation of Yogic process. In 2012 I received my yoga teacher training from Devandi Yoga Studio in South Minneapolis and have been teaching ever since.
My teaching style is rooted in Hatha Yoga & informed by somatic & trauma informed practices.
The experience of Yoga I can offer includes asana, as well as pranayama (breathwork) and guided meditation techniques.
The three foundational energies of my practice & my teaching style are the union of movement, breath & awareness.
On your mat, I intend to guide you into your own body as it moves, the breath breathing you and your awareness so you may more fully inhabit your body and your life.
My classes are all mixed level (unless otherwise notes) and everyone is welcome!
In my role as teacher I strive to:
- Give each student the tools to pay attention, listen within and actualize their individual process of self-discovery and personal transformation
- Adapt the many methods of yoga & embodiment practices to the suit each students' unique conditions, needs and interests.
- Help each student move mindfully and joyfully through life.

"REST is the conversation between what we love to do and how we love to be. Rest is the essence of giving and receiving; an act of remembering, imaginatively and intellectually but also physiologically and physically. To rest is to give up on the already exhausted will as the prime motivator of endeavor, with its endless outward need to reward itself through established goals. To rest is to give up on worrying and fretting and the sense that there is something wrong with the world unless we are there to put it right..." David Whyte
Rest is learning to listening into you body which is one key ingredients in listening well with your life, your partner, your family members....Join me for an embodied experience in Somatic Yoga Nidra, and some deep rest and deep listening.
